New York – Feb. 15, 2016 – Butler Snow is pleased to announce Jessica L. Staton has joined the firm. Staton will practice in the New York office before transferring to Butler Snow’s London office in September 2016. She will serve as senior counsel in the firm’s Business Services group.
“Jessica has a strong background in tax and estate services that will contribute greatly to the expertise within the business services group,” said Don Clark, Jr., chairman of Butler Snow.
Staton is a member of the New York State Bar Association in the trust and estates section. Her legal practice focuses on U.S. tax and estate planning for international families and their advisors. Staton has experience advising clients and their advisors on a broad range of issues, including U.S. tax compliance, creation, administration, and governance of offshore trust structures, U.S. estate and gift tax planning, acquisition and ownership of U.S. real estate and immigration and expatriation planning. Staton received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law.
