Butler Snow Attorney Amy M. Pepke Elected Fellow of Tennessee Bar Foundation

RIDGELAND, Miss.,Feb.20,2014–Butler Snow attorney, Amy M. Pepke has been elected a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation, an associationof 782 attorneys across the state.Invitations to membership, which is a position of honor, were extended to 29 attorneys this year by the bar’s board of trustees. The introduction of new fellows took place at the annual Fellows’ Dinner in Nashvillerecently.

“We are proud that Amy has been elected a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation,”said Donald Clark, Jr.,Chairman, Butler Snow. “Sheis a driven leader of our appellate and written advocacy practice group, and this is a great honor for her.”

The Bar Foundation’s purpose is two-fold: to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the profession and to administer a grant making program. That project, known by its acronym “IOLTA” (Interest On Lawyers’ Trust Accounts), has awarded grants in excess of $19 millionto law-related, public interest projects throughout Tennessee.

Pepke is the Practice Group Leader of Butler Snow’s Appellate and Written Advocacy Groupand also a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Regulatory and Transactions Groupand the Commercial Litigation Group. She focuses her practice on appellate matters, commercial litigation, contract disputes, class and collective action litigation, commercial contracting, and intellectual property litigation.

Pepke completed her undergraduate education at Spring Hill College in Mobile before earning her Juris Doctor at Vanderbilt University where she was the managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. She’s been recognized in the 2013 Top 50 Women Mid-South Super Lawyers®, named in Mid-South Super Lawyers®for Civil Litigation Defense and recognized by The Best Lawyers in America®for Commercial Litigation. Pepke is a former adjunct professor of legal methods at the University of Memphis Humphreys School of Law,a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of Americaand a fellow of the Memphis Bar Association.
