JACKSON, Miss., Sept. 17, 2019 – Mad Genius – a leading branding, media and digital marketing firm – is expanding to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to serve its growing roster of clients in the region, and has opened an office in Ocean Springs, Miss.

The agency has named veteran broadcast sales manager Don Moore senior vice president of business development to head-up the new office, which is located at 1019 Government Street, Suite D, Ocean Springs, Miss., 39564.

“This is a development that has been a long time in the making,” said Chip Sarver, co-founder and chief operating officer of Mad Genius. “We’re very excited by the opportunity to partner with more businesses and organizations along the Gulf Coast. Our expansion will position Mad Genius to better serve the needs of our existing clientele on the coast. With Don, we have the right person in place to achieve this, and to continue our agency’s growth. We’re all looking forward to this next chapter in our company’s development.”

Mad Genius was founded in 2005, and offers a range of branding services including high-end video production, website design, media and digital marketing.

“In addition to the opportunity to partner with new businesses throughout the Gulf Coast region, this new venture also enables Mad Genius to expand our recruitment possibilities and to better serve the needs of our existing clientele on the coast and beyond,” said Rob Bridges, co-founder and chief creative officer.

Mad Genius has a robust client roster that serves a variety of industries, including health care, insurance, higher education, outdoor, legal, accounting, manufacturing, retail, consumer packaged goods, telecom, agriculture, automotive, food & beverage and entertainment.

Moore comes from a talented broadcast lineage, and launched his career in the television industry. He served for many years as production manager for WAPT (the Jackson, Miss., ABC affiliate), vice president of operations for WLOX Television on the Gulf Coast, and vice president for the former Love Communications (now Comcast Spotlight.) In 1993, Moore was named executive director of the Mississippi Resource Center, where he led economic development initiatives and forged business alliances that brought new business to the state (including Kohler in Hattiesburg, Wellman on the Gulf Coast, and Nissan’s Canton, Miss. plant).

In 1999, he returned to the television industry, and served in various roles at WLOX, including director of broadcast operations and general sales manager. He is an Emmy Award-winning TV director, and has served in this role for projects including B.B. King Live in Memphis, Tenn. and the Miss Mississippi Pageant.

Clients applaud the expansion and new office.

“Working with Mad Genius is a great experience. They have a way of capturing your ideas and vision to create something that brings it all to life,” said Christen Duhé, associate vice president of institutional relations at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. “We are so excited that they’re opening a second location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

Megan Burkes, associate director of public relations and donor programs at the University of Southern Miss. agrees. “Mad Genius, it’s more than their brand – it’s their culture. I’ve never worked with a more creative team who aspire for and deliver phenomenal content and, most importantly, a true partnership with their clients. Mad Genius is full service creative, full tilt.”
