JACKSON, Miss. – Oct. 9, 2015 — Waggoner Engineering, a full-service economic development, project management and engineering firm headquartered in Jackson, Miss., has added Matthew Hosey as an engineering intern in its Gulf Coast office.
In his role, Hosey will be responsible for designing, drafting and assisting with project management for a variety of infrastructure projects associated with the Gulf Coast office.
“Hosey’s versatile skill set, professional attitude and attention to client service will be a major asset to the office and our firm as a whole,” said Joe Waggoner, PE, founder and CEO of Waggoner Engineering.
Hosey received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Mississippi, where he was a research assistant and teaching assistant for Soils Lab. He was a member of the Chi Epsilon national civil engineering honor society and Pi Mu Epsilon math honor society. As a member of Engineers Without Borders, he helped build purification tanks for those in Togo, Africa.
Hosey holds certifications from American Concrete Institute including Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I.
