NASHVILLE, Tenn. – July 11, 2013 – Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC (Butler Snow), is pleased to announce that Sepideh C. Khansari, an attorney in the firm’s Nashville office, has been named to the Nashville Public Library Board. Ms. Khansari, the youngest person ever named to this leadership position, was appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Metropolitan Council on July 2.

Khansari is a member of the firm’s General Litigation Group and Product Liability, Toxic Tort and Environmental Group. She focuses her practice on general civil litigation, insurance defense and personal injury litigation. Khansari earned both her bachelor’s degree and master’s of business administration from Middle Tennessee State University, before earning her Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, Lawyers’ Association for Women and the Nashville Junior Chamber. Khansari is also one of the founding members of the Crescendo Club, a group of young community leaders, philanthropists and music enthusiasts who are interested in supporting the Nashville Symphony.
The Nashville Public Library Board has direct charge of the Nashville Public Library system, which has 21 locations throughout the metropolitan area. Other members of the Board are Keith B. Simmons, Chairman, Lucy D. Haynes, Secretary, Francie M. Hunt, Robert K. Oermann, Margaret Ann Robinson and Joyce Searcy.
