LOUISVILLE, Ky. – June 10, 2020 – Vaco, a talent and solutions firm that provides consulting, contract and direct hire solutions to more than 40 markets around the globe, has named Clif Freeman, a veteran finance and accounting leader, managing partner of its Kentucky offices – including Louisville and Lexington  – as it grows across the state and nation.

Freeman joined Vaco in 2013 and previously served as a partner in its Louisville office. He brings more than 15 years of staffing, recruiting, and consulting experience to his new role at the company, where he will help chart the future growth and vision.

“Clif is a visionary leader and steady presence in Kentucky, where his hard work and dedication has helped create momentum for growth across the marketplace,” said Brian F. Steel, senior partner for Vaco’s Columbus, Ohio; Lexington; Louisville and Detroit offices. “He has a gift of building teams, leveraging opportunities, and delivering results.”

Freeman’s primary focus at Vaco has been working with finance and accounting professionals, with additional experience in human resources, IT, and supply chain management talent solutions.

Prior to joining Vaco, Freeman served as vice president of VeriCorp. Inc., a professional background screening firm. He has also served as director of client services for a global management consulting firm and in a leadership position for a publicly traded national recruiting firm. Freeman began his career at Ernst & Young and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Transylvania University.

“With businesses starting to build return-to-work strategies, I am excited about our continued growth and expansion opportunities in Louisville, Lexington and across Kentucky,” Freeman said. “I’m proud to be a part of an organization that not only focuses on building positive relationships with clients and candidates, but also one that invests in its people. My motivation to drive our Kentucky teams stands in the ability we have to serve our local community and to continue to provide best-in-class services.”

Throughout his career, Freeman has learned the importance of building talented, cohesive, engaged, and high-performing teams. At Vaco, his team focuses on understanding each client’s specific needs and company culture and carefully identify qualified candidates to ensure clients are receiving highly qualified individuals to meet their needs. He specializes in connecting clients with talented accounting, audit, and finance professionals. Louisville and Lexington are key growth markets for Vaco, which has experienced rapid expansion, serving more than 200 clients and placing more than 1200 candidates since 2013. Vaco’s Kentucky offices are part of a powerhouse that delivers talent and solutions across diverse industries and to more than 10,000 clients globally as it continues to grow.
